Yeah...it is kinda of costly getting it started up,....but when people prepay it reduces the amount of my "out of pocket" expenses greatly.

The funny thing is,..I've had a few people contact me saying they won't be able to make it this year.....with all the prizes I have this year,...winning one of the 50+ prizes would pay for your entire trip....

youve also had people offer on the thread and in PM to prepay admission, even though they cant make it, and asked for one of those free BOTB t-shirts you offered for prepayers, but never got a response from you.:bang
 
sorry about that, between my PM inbox filling every day, I must have missed that PM....besides the " first 20 get a free t-shirt" was done after like the second day....I had a bunch of locals prepay(not on truck forums), because I put flyers out at Napa, Autozone, and a couple local bars that I frequent.

I appreciate the little extra coin you threw the Bash paypal account just now.


Only people that have been to the Bash know that I'm just a regular guy like all of you. I'm just an E6, and we don't get paid all that much.

I normally save all year, and use my tax money just to get the Bash going. But this year the front end on my truck went out, then a week later the rear exploded......and the $7,000 that I normally use to get the Bash started(Rental fees, deposits, etc) was wiped out. And my truck is my only means of reliable transportation to get my son to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, etc,..so I had to get it running.

Even though I enjoy doing the Bash every year,...imagine how nerve racking it is, not knowing if you'll be able to cover the fees for everything,..and have to take a loan out to pay for it if thing don't go as planned......that would suck.

And as of right now,....I'm just under half the amount I need to cover just the fees,...that means I still don't have enough prepays for the projected 1,200lbs of crawfish, the live band, or the kegs of beer.

Oh well....I promised everyone a good time,...and I always deliver,....good thing I have good enough credit to take out a personal loan.....LOL
