Has anyone ever replaced the serp belt on their 6.0? If so, please explain best way to accomplish such task.

Pray, cuss, drink, yell, throw stuff, cry, whine....and eventually it'll go on. LOL
Those things suck.

You forgot the pulled back. I ran mine all around and then pulled like hell at the alternator. Put gloves on and make sure the truck is cool. Its nice to have a helping hand. (Someone to yell at)

What did you have to take off to even get to it?

Did you do it from above or below?

I was just replying to that part..sorry I have nothing else to offer..LOL

what kind/brand of belt are you replacing it with?

Dealer told me that a belt change on a dual alt. truck is a 3-4 hr. job

just be glad you dont have a fluidamper on it. If you take the top part of the fan shroud off it is much easier.

That the same dealer that takes 2 weeks to diagnose a transmission problem, Pete? :D

When I did my alternator I just got up into the motor and with two hands pulled up and over. The hard part was making it line all back up. This is a 20 minute job. I do have a single alternator.
