I looking for the best 3.0 pulling charger. Right now im looking at the scheid or the columbus charger. There is about $1200 price difference between the two. I cant figure whats the best charger out there is. :bang

Check out Garretts and Tom's rides they both sport 3.0"+ T-Netics units.

s400sx3. At least for the coin your not gonna beat it.

Where does one find on of those?

I did search and only some stuff on an import racer thread.:blahblah1:

I like my 3.0 from turbonetics. There are so many choices for turbine housings, you have an infinite amount of adjustability. Plus they are super durable.

They still have the 1 year cant bust it warranty?

Where do you find all these options? I tried to order a turbo from them last year but all the wanted to do was sell me an off the shelf 70mm.:bang :bang

Talk to a distributor for them, I think a few of the site sponsor's here are dealers for turbonetics. And yes as far as I know they still have there 1 year no questions asked warranty.

Thats on turbonetics website, the price is different from distributors. Its a ball bearing unit too.

That is a "super T" series, which is a mid frame compressor and cover on a T-series cartridge and turbine side. Not quite a full mid frame.

Couple of thoughts here-

Depending on your mods, we can have something custom made instead of an off the shelf piece.

I can have a 76mm made four different ways;

A Y2K 76MM would have a T6 mounting flange, and a 3.955 exducer, and 5 inch DP flange. It would take some serious fuel and RPM to get on top of it. Turbine A/R is .96.

The next option would be a "mid frame" that Tom is referring to. That turbo was designed for tractor pullers 3X3 class specs. It has a standard T4 mount, 2.96 exducer, and only available with a 4 inch DP flange. It has a 3 inch discharge, and three available turbine A/R; 1.00, 1.14, 1.27. I can have a custom cover made to run a 78, or 80 mm bushed to a 76.

A step down from the mid frame is the Super T. The Super T has a 3 inch discharge, 4 inch air inlet, standard T4 mount, 2.693 exducer, and turbine A/R as follows: .68, .81, .96. DP is 3.5 or 4 inch. This unit is much easier to spool than a mid frame, but will move less air, etc

The final way is with a standard T4 series 76mm unit with a 2.5 discharge, 4 inch intake, and turbine 2.542 exducer, and A/R as follows: .68, .81, .96. DP is 3.5 or 4 inch.

Every turbo we order is custom built around your mods. We have a good idea of what works.

Tom and Garrett would both be running a 3.230 turbine wheel-a Super T would be a 3.111, and the standard T series is 2.920. A Y2k would be 3.80, or 4.3165.

The bushed Thumper I run has a 5.10 inch wheel.

where are you measuring 5.100 at?

The 2.6" turbo I speak of runs the 74/83mm turbine, seems small for a 3.0"?

TN will make a 2.6 with a 3.80, 4.3165, or 5.10 inch wheel if you feel the 3.23 is too small.

For a 3.0 charger (pulling only 4k +motor) I can set you up for less than $1000 (thats turbo, clamps, adapter and flanges)all new:rockwoot: This setup was ran on the 2nd,3rd, and 5th place trucks at Schieds diesel extravaganza 07' in the 3.0 class.
