If you use an adapter then I'd say the drain won't fit.

Merry Christmas to you. Keep up the good work. It's always great to have someone else around here with good ideas to work with. I'm still playing with my VGT, I would like to find a 451 one day so well see.
 
I'm suprised that your truck runs so smokey. It could be your injectors, but I run just a little GT3782R turbo, with a set of DDP 110 sticks, my smoke trail isn't that thick when my box is set to 5X5 on the old edge drag box. My max egt's are around 1200-1300 deg's and max boost numbers are 45psi. Twins GT3788R/S475, my egt's was 1000-1100 deg's and boost was 50 psi.

I want to try a VE351 set-up for my next twins project. I like the way that your got the vanes to work.
 
whats your drive pressure at 35-40 psi of boost

Mine stays pretty close to 1:1 up to about 35psi then goes up to about 55psi DP and 40-42psi boost... But that's with my 451.

CSM diesel has a DP gauge installed with is 351 and has also switched to running his housing with DP (as well did I recently).

It all happens rather quickly, but the boost pressure usually runs on a 5-10lb deficit to drive pressure. Upon stabbing the throttle, drive shoots right up to 40 and boost is RIGHT behind it

BTW congrats on those 1/4 mile times in your truck. I'm hoping to be in that same (~13.5) #2 only range too before switching comp wheels in my 451... Then I'll be shootiung for high 11s #2 only
