Big chargers and 05 programming

Seems no matter what programming/tuners I use I cannot get my 05 to perform to my expectations. No short cuts here what-so-ever, I have spent good money on all aspects of my engine. The days of blowing the tires off are in the past, filling the dyno room with smoke and receiving a horse sh*t number are present. Its been 12 months since I put a fresh motor and larger turbos on this flat footed bit*h, and I'm about done with trying for big power and good street manners. Sh*t I have neither right now.

Not sure the next move. But I may scale back on the fuel and chargers and build a good street truck.

Most likely I will have Nathan build me a new set of quick spooling Garrett BB.

Quit spending money, be content, wait for tuning. It is just around the corner

Believe me Rob I know it is frustrating, but you are chasing something that is not gonna happen without proper tuning. :D

Heck Lloyd, Marco told me early spring there was something new coming/ its near Sept for sh*t sakes.

Dude I'm so done with crap right now. Data logger $3000- to tell me I have no fuel in the higher rpms...
 
hey rob man I was hopping you would hit the 1K mark, I'm sure nathan hooks you up but if you were wanting to keep in b.c harry at peak diesel has a sweet twin kit that he was looking for some to try out , I think he said it was like a 62 external waste gated in to a s475 or some thing like that ,his goal for this kit was fast spooling streetable twins in the 700hp mark just an option, let me know if you want his # harry's a good guy to deal with. shane
 
I know this isn't your case and im not poking at you but....

What is up with everyone lately wanting the 1,200HP twin turboed mild streetable 9 second 400 foot sled pulling daily driver? I know its nice to have it all but usually the way things are its better one way or the other.
 
Rob, I hope this isn't a trend with these things...We've talked and you know about my mystery loss too....It should be going back together next week with everything checked, valves lapped again, the 3.8's, Fuel Pressure regulator installed to dial down LP pressure, Studs.....If this doesn't get me back, the only thing else I've not checked / swapped would be FCA's....After that, I guess I'll be stuck at the 700 mark......Just funny how I had a 100 more just a few miles ago...

I'm really sorry you having this issue man!! Maybe the programing with help and be AFFORDABLE for us poe folks...lol We'll have to wait and see..
 
Swole.. just a thought,, but did you try the ecm? Usually when i see a big drop in power it is related to the ecm... just a thought to try

You mean try swapping it?? If so, then no I haven't tried that yet...

Seems like a costly chance that it might not work....

Maybe, after I see whats up in a week or so....

man, i wish i had money to build my cr like you did.. im stuck settlin for a very mild build, but i know the feelin of losin hp, it sucks

Sorry Rob, I know you have much more invested than Chris and I and you are just as stuck at these pitiful limitations we have (04.5-up) I am sicked to death of the money we spend on the fuel and air we bring to the table only to be outdone by guys (GM trucks) that actually have the ability to tune their trucks and not rely on some number "2" or "3" for timing, what the hell does that mean anyway? I give up on my current situation, my next project will be on an 03-04 platform or on a GM product, I am sick to death of the limitations placed on the Dodge guys by these miserable excuses of tuners we have to use to coordinate the tens of thousands of dollars in fuel and air we have invested in.
 
Patience Rob. New tuning is just around the corner. I know shut up :doh: Time is coming

I smoked a big joint so I'm content for a bit now/ I'm pleased to hear there is something on the table. Thanks for the up-date

100 hp drop huh ? what were conditions like when you were 100 hp higher ? nice and cool, dense air, vs summer hot and sweaty........ fire up Lloyd's ac in his shop and let the truck breathe some cool goodness through the motor.

My TURD wont make any power either. Like Jay said, I know you've spent big coin on your current configuration but I wouldnt change just yet. You have one of the meanest platforms out there. If and when we get more than #1,3,5,7,9 for tuning I think theres hope.
