Big chargers and 05 programming

With a little advise from Chris (Joesixpack) I confirmed my DD 3600 is smoked. I had a slight feeling something was not quite right a few days back. Tonight after talking with Chris I went out and verified the clutch is not holding.
Now I need to know what clutch to install??
 
No sweat! Lots of time to R&R that clutch and put the hurt on that BD dyno!
Its a hell of a drive, might see if I can make it out there, go for a spin on the rollers.

Good to hear Rob...something just didn't seem right! Which clutch does Lloyd run?

Rob I'd put in a 3250 tripple disk. I'm gonna post my last 2 dyno sheets from dunbars dyno to show where its defueling.

chris I didnt get a chance to talk to you after the dyno run @ sdx but the numbers looked pretty good man you had to be 1st place or really close for the day

62/71-480 bad wastegate. Smarty SW 5 timing 3, rp2 power puck 60hp setting.
Boost 60psi
rp 27.5@2000rpm
Fuel pressure went down to 10psi
Lots of brake boosting

Its pulling fuel, no question. I'm going to scope and data log a injector by the end of the week, it will show the whole story. I'm positive my 04.5 pulls way longer than that.

How much boost on the street?

NO kidding eh/ finding out when its pulling and why, is going to be worth um

that will be some valuable info. I c roughly 80psi on the street. I had the rpm limiter set to 3500 because I have never made power over that with the current software.
 
(Joesixpack) yours is an 04.5? I have an 04.5 and am switching to an 03-04 with my build, do ya think an 03-04 ECM will hook up and run all the crap in the truck correctly? I have had enough of these 3 injection event bastards, I going with the oldie but goodie and shooting for the sky. Although hopefully I won't need the ECM for long.

It isn't going to be a straight swap, there are going to be issues, if you have a manual tranny, will help, no transmission control.

I don't think its going to jive with the body computers either, so you might loose a bunch of that stuff.

BUT look ford guys throw them engines in their trucks, no reason why we can't. Just the engine will be more stand alone.

Then there is the issue of the 04.5 injector piston combo....I've heard it runs ok, with the 03-04 ecm.....

Trouble is....Don's injectors if I'm not mistaken are bigger for the 03-04's, so once were back to 2 events...then need bigger injectors to match fuel.

$$$ cures everything.
 
Screw the 04.5 three injection crap, I am doing it right, billet rods, QSB or Mahle pistons and shower heads for injectors and enough air to propel my truck to the moon. Prolly s400 over a big s500, do you think the instrument cluster will work? I wonder what will tend not to work. Jay
