I'm down to trying to order a air filter for twins for a 01 truck. I've moved the battery for more room but can't decide what filter to get. Any ideas?

well... get the OD of your inlet tube, then search places like summit/jegs/etc. for your desired dimensions. I know K&N makes some gargantuan models....

TURBOLVR lined me up with the filter he is using, looks about right so I went ahead and ordered it. I wonder if there is a outerwear that fits that filter. It's afe number 21-60512

I use a 5" x 18" AFE filter...it would be very hard to fit with 2 batteries.

I like that one also, another one that peak diesel has a green colored, 5" inlet x 12" long but is about 7" in dia for the whole length, I got one a while back for a single turbo.

Ill have to measure my AFE. Its about as long as you can fit.

I thought about the one you are using TIMEBOMB but I'm using a he351 on top and was afraid I couldn't work the piping around it. I also looked at laying it along the fender but I want my battery where the old airbox was.

how much cfm does a s475 need?

if you know the cfm of your filter post it, please.

That's the one I run. Flows really well, not so sure it filters as good as say the pro dry I was running.

afe 24-50512 for the 12" one high tech ram mentioned
afe 24-51518 for the 18" one timebomb mentioned

i wish i could get rid of the long skinny filter, but i can't find the short stubby that has the same inlet size.

I have the afe 24-50512 filter on my twins.

Here's a little fyi:

I put a brand new filter on and with my Isspro air filter restriction gauge, it draws 3" vacuum at wot. Any other pedal position, it's on 0".

With my old, really dirty filter(24-50512), it was on 0" all the time, but wot was getting up to 7-10" of vacuum.

My egts went down 150* at wot with the new filter on.

I'd like to try the 2nd gen afe stage 2 filter with the 6" opening to see if it draws vacuum. Afe said it flows more that what I've got now.
