Just wondering if it would really pay to step up to a 250 horse injector with my setup. I can already air lock my pump if i let out of it too quick. Does a so vp really even have the capability to fuel a 250 horse injector or am i just gonna lose injection pressure?

if you can airlock it you either need to change the tuning on your quad or if you have bigger injection lines throw them in the trash

I run a 4k quad, sb66 and ddp 250 sticks, SO pump and I don't have a problem. Heres one of my runs. Also i don't have a problem air locking either.

air locking the pump is so hit or miss it can't really be blamed on anything. I ran 11 hole 240hp injectors on my SO and it never air locked yet there are people with 150s that are air locking them.

We were putting parts on a buddies truck while with a portable dyno. With 8x12's (250hp) alone. No other parts, no turbo, no box. Just injector, made 364hp. We ran out of time to test after the turbo, but we expect 580ish

So pump was put on truck long ago. Just wanna know if i will really see any hp gains above my 200 horse injectors. As of right now my truck does not smoke at all. Im cleaning up everything.

62 charger and 200 sticks, you should have some smoke. Whats your fuel psi? I had a problem with fuel psi and mine was dropping to 8 psi at wot and the charger was falling on it's face. I pulled the spring on the fass and stretched it out 1/2" longer and now it don't drop past 12 psi at wot. I have plenty of fuel now. check out this video. truck running out of fuel, just a light haze..

i have a set of ii super dragon flow 250s and ran them with no issues except my little 95 fass couldnt pump enough fuel to them...if you interested in a larger injector ide trade you straight up for your 200s....pm me if your interested

I have twins on my truck. Its an ed 62/68/12 over an s475 with a 1.10 exhaust housing. Also have a hamilton 182/210 cam in the ole girl as well.

Good point. That is a HO truck which means bigger injectors won't do squat unless the OP swaps out the VP for a SO or a hot vp of some kind.

I disagree with this. The biggest shortcoming of the HO is how it responds to electronics. Yes I know it has smaller plungers too. Run a bigger injector the the HO pump and dont rely on electronic tuning. Ive since swapped over to an SO pump on my 02 for the higher RPM fueling. but my HO fueled DDP 200 s quite well IMO. And I never knew anything about air - locking until I came online. Seems to be an edge problem as my TST has never done it.

One of the locals here ran Edge Jammer 150's and a hot juice on his HO truck. It would constantly airlock after a WOT pass. He added an airdog 150 with a draw straw and it still done the same thing.

Personally, I think the HO's small plunger has a greater effect than some think. Biggest issue being the slower injection rate and volume.
