Biggest Injectors for SOVP44?

I am looking for a set of Comp injectors for my 01 24v. But isnt there a point where the VP44 just wont flow any more no matter how big the sticks are? What is that point? I run an S366 (2.6 class) and want to run the biggest injector I can.

Will a Hot Rod pump be needed to flow enough for a 250+hp injector??? Sorry for all the Questions but I am running 200's now and clearing the smoke up with egs around 1350 @ 3700rpms.

I would like to see fueling to 4k RPM's but still not sure how to get there. Running Quad Adrenaline right now and have a Smarty also. The 4k tune on the Adrenaline shuts the truck down!

Im running Scheid Competition injectors....8x16....but I have no idea what that is in HP rating, 350 maybe??????

And are you running out of fuel or does the SO pump keep up just fine? Are you running a FASS or similar lift pump?
 
A hot rod pump no! The new pump from II mite, havent tested it yet! And dont really know much about the monster except what i have read on here. I would say go with a set of DDP comps! Im sure somebody will get on here and flame me for saying that (2tone12v) but i really like them.

Your truck still shuts down with the 4K program???

I was thinking DDP Comps but if I can go bigger why not? Yes its still shutting off. It shoots to 4k quickly then shuts off. Datalogger is getting to around 4130rpms.

I got my flame suit on but NO box out there for a 24v will fuel to 4k...will it go to 4k, sure, redlines been doing it for years and now the adrenaline will do it...but its not "fueling" at 4k. hence why at 4k with a redline box, SO pump, and DDP comps i was making about a little over 100hp and a little under 200 tq at 3800...just cuz it will rev that high doesnt mean its fueling. they just dont have the ability to do it, the vp44 cant flow the fuel at that rpm

dont listen to him, he is one of them goofballs like me with an inline injection pump on the 24v
 
Call Gus at Farmboy Diesel. He'll make you a set thats big!! He is going to make me a set for my p-pump motor thats slightly over stock... Well slightly might not be the right word...:umno::hehe:

Well I have a good running, complete 12v parts truck. But I like having the ability to turn it down and drive it everyday. Its very versatile as it is! I'm going to get a Redline and stack it with either my Smarty or my Adrenaline and some 250's. I am looking for 500hp and I think that will get me there!
 
i'll never claim to be an expert but i really think a little bit smaller injector, with a good spray pattern, and the right electronics is key with vp44's. cummins724 is the only person ive seen carry decent power out to 4k, and he is doing it with mach 5's, and stock lines and tubes. seems like quad is really getting into making those pumps run, but when you run big injectors, tubes, and lines you drain the rail before you can make any power. if i still had my vp44 id start experimenting with some 180-200hp sticks and try to get the right tuning to get the most out of those sticks.
 
Talk to Mike (mclunas) he is running an so pump with 160,000 miles on it and makes around 600hp not sure of his exact setup though
 
I ran .093 lines, .093 tubes, scheid diesel hot rod pump, redline and made 682 hp at the rear wheels. ran a set of scheid lighting 4's (6x18)

Well I need to get on a dyno. The CR I pull against are kicking my ass and they dynoed between 490-600hp. I want to be in that range also. Heres what I currently run...

Adrenaline w/pulse
Smarty
Mach 5's
FASS
CFM+
S366
SOVP44
Supporting mods= ARP studs & 110# Valve springs.

I have a Redline and 250hp injector's on the way! How much power should I be able to make with a 2.6 turbo and a VP44??? 600hp MAX?!?! We arent alowed to inject anything like Water, NOS etc...
 
we have some 6.5's, ps 62/14, ats arc flow, ats ex manifold and a redline/puck going on the dyno tomorrow. the redline's only going to get hooked up if if the haze is somewhat clear. we want to be slightl overfueled for fully ported head swap coming up to see what we gain.
 
dyno's 449/1085 with so pump, puck/smarty8, 6.5's , and ps. not real impressed with the 6.5's for all out power they're great for daily driving. still got 21 mpg going to see goerend and they cleaned up real well on the dyno and on the street. almost too well. feels better with puck or smarty by themselves but we didn't have time to tune on the dyno. couldn't get redline to work worth a flip. ????

It may not be HP that is beating you...look into the way your truck is set up, the way it hooks, final drive, weight, tires, lockers...and so on

I know what you are saying. My truck hooks great, no hop, tires are digging great for our tracks too. Im getting good traction but no where near the amount of wheelspeed the other trucks are getting. I can leave the hole around 36-3700rpm's and it drops to around 3400 down the track. I want to leave around 4k and hold 38-3900rpm's down the track. I'm thinking I just need more power to get it done.

4.10 gears and 33" tires!

That equals p-pump. no VP can do that yet AFAIK. (hold 3900 down the track)
