I'm toying with the idea of getting a billet cam, I have got the engine tore down but cant make my mind up if it is worth the extra money or not. I do race the truck but I will drive it on the street way more than I race it. I'm interested in hearing from people who have a cam to see how it helped. I have tried to search this but I cant find anything about it.

I have ran a billet Hamilton cam in a Non bushed block for three years no problems ... I broke a cast cam from someone else..

We have billet cams at all levels, and different pricing levels. If you have your block all tore apart, it is worth the investment to have the cam tunnel align bored for camshaft bearings. You may be fine at this point with out them, but if you keep upgrading, and start racing more than driving, you will be happy you have them, and you will have no worries. Plus you do not have to tear it completely apart again.

I have billets that will work for driving and performance. Typically for what you are doing they range from $650 to $840. They are steel billet cams, not cast.

If you have any questions you can PM me or give me a call. My number is in my signature.
