Billet cam ?

Running CR too with my big cam on the P-pump 24v. Havent had a lick of problems yet........

I'm looking at cams. How does your cam compare to a Big Stick?:poke:
I do not rely on one grind , but listen to each persons individual needs , and spec each cam to the needs of the particular application. A cam that wotks really great in one truck might not give you as good a results in another . A cam that is really common in you application is a 174 215 on a 110 installed in a 100 , this can really run great , and moves air , reducing EGT’s a few hindered . This cam works great with big singles with or with out a worked cylinder head

Thanks. My application is a little harder to figure. I tow 16-18k#, DD, Sled Pull. I kinda need a cam that performs well between 1400-4300rpm. Not sure how to achieve that?

with the 64 chargers ability to spool , I would go with a 170 215 on a 112 installed at 104

170 is the intake duration at .050 lobe lift , 215 is the exhaust duration at .050 lobe lift . LSA stands for Lobe separation angle of the distant between the center line of the intake and exhaust . And center line is the relationship between top dead center and the centerline of the intake lobe , center line is another way to say top dead center of the cam lobe

So would i be better off to get CR tappets, or just stick with new stockers? Im running an A1000 fuel pump so no need to worry about the mechanical one.

I'm putting a Helix II in my '98 12-valve, but I'm guessing I can only run the 12-valve tappets since I have the pump lobe on the cam, right?

Thanks Doug. I was just going to throw in the cam but with 195,000 miles on the clock changing them would be a GOOD idea :)

ps sorry for thread hijack. . .

Use the Cr lifters...Don says it's fine;)

BTW, how ya been Doug?

Chris

Hey Chris,

Doing great! I just lurk around on the forums a lot, not as much posting as I used to. With flying to Asia all the time I seem to sleep at the wrong time.....
