blown head gasket

[dsl kicks gas]

blew the head gasket on my black truck.....was a stock gasket and the engine has 1,800 miles on it. money is tight so i can afford o ring's. im going to run a .020 over gasket and back the timing down. anybody know what could of caused it?:bang

Probably a combo of that 66/71, dvs, 5 x .014" injectors, and the clutch to get the power to the ground on stock bolts and gasket.

i have blown several head gaskets on different engines in the past, but i have never seen coolant this color

i built the engine, it only has 1,800 miles on it. everything is new, i bought a truck load of parts from a guy that was a feild tech for cummins. the head gasket i used was one that i got with the parts, it might be 20 years old. i didnt give it much thought when i put everything together, but i guess the materal could of dry rotted or what ever over time. who knows.

it has arp head studs torqued to 140
