Boost fooler??? Pros and Cons?

so the truck i just got has a lot of things hacked on it. Where the sensor in turbo would be there is a pipe plug, and the wires that would normally plug into it are cut and twisted together. Should I be getting that factory plug and sensor and wiring it back in?
