im working on the truck in my sig. and at WOT i am not getting any more than 50 psi of boost. i had 5x14's in there before and 50 psi was it also. this turbo on my dads truck only built 55 psi and my other truck was 55 also.
i checked for boost leaks. were none. boost psi is 50 psi right after turbo and on head, no loss. so today i checked my drive pressure to see what ive got. the drive pressure on a WOT 50 psi boost run is 60-65 psi. is that a good ratio of around 1.3:1? i know my exhaust housing leaks where the wastegate plate is which may not be helping.
spool up is horribly slow, and with my 3.55 gears at 55mph it just wont build any boost when trying to pickup speed. my timing is set at 22 degrees if it matters.
just wanting to know if there is something wrong or because i have a mild port job things flow easier and less restriction. but then i dont understand the added fuel didnt gain any boost.
im so confused.
