Bottom end balancing for 5K.

In my area, there are many trucks turning 5200rpm on stock internals. They have fluidamprs, upgraded springs, headstuds, but that is it. Some of them don't even have a fluidampr. Isn't Getblown5.9 still on a stock bottom end as well?

yes TJ is on a stock bottom end but running a pinned fluid dampr on his truck.

I'll bet there are a lot of cummins out there WAY off, I've seen far too many dealers only overbore one cylinder.

I thought fluodampers instructions say not to balance it with the assembly? It cost me 600 to get it balanced, pistons cut/cleaned, rods shot peened, and crank polished. Mine rods were all within 10 grams with the exception of one which was 20 less than the lightest.

Is there a difference in getting your engine balanced, when you are running 4k verses 6k rpm? I always thought they would ask you what rpm the engine will be running at?

No there is no difference. They are all spun balanced at 500 rpm, thats diesel and gas. You could turn 10k if the motor would stay together

That is what I heard too. A tech at fluidampr told me the same thing.

When I had mine balanced it was $550 i think. My crank was already balanced from the factory at least thats what I was told when I got my parts back.
