Budget turbo options.

I have been pondering my options as far as budget turbos. Something very streetable and fairly inexpensive. Somewhere in the 62mm range. 64 would most likely be a little on the large side for what I'm looking to get out of the truck. Its daily driven 110 miles every day so I'm not looking for a big smoky s.o.b. Budget twins have crossed my mind a few times, using an hx35 as a top charger.

Opinions are greatly appreciated. If you have input on other options I'm always open to some constructive criticism.

Box S300 with a T4 exhaust housing. Seems to be about as budget as you can get for a new turbo with a few different options.
 
There are a couple HT3B's for sale on here....and that is a great proven and reliable set-up for twins with the HX35. You could possibly do it cheaper than a new 62.

Oh and I vote twins. Mine will get a big guy stuffed in there with my 62 eventually.
 
My problem is I know jack about big chargers and twins... No idea what I'm doing. The only part of my plan that is for sure is steed speed with an external gate.
 
There are times I wished I had put an HT3B under my HX35 and kept it simple, effective and cheap.

With a 62 as the secondary, a much bigger primary is needed and a lot more fuel to make it useful. It all adds up to less money in your wallet. LOL

Is your primary a 62?
 
As it clearly states....my secondary is a 62 and my primary is much larger than an HT3B. Sheesh. LOL
 
I guess I missed where it clearly states that... I didn't know if you were referring to my earlier comment. Forget it...

Well I would like to learn what it would take and work to twin my truck. I was thinking a 475-480 under my 62. However I know jack about twins, and big chargers really. I know mine would take some minor fueling changes probably. To make a long story short the retard here is looking to learn twins for vps lol
 
I'm running an HT4C as a primary, which has an 83mm inducer. A lot of guys run S480's in the 83-87mm range I believe and you couldn't really go wrong with something of that nature, just depends how much fuel you want to have to throw at it. And I'm a bit rusty on my VP knowledge. LOL I brain dumped it after I p-pumped.
 
I see... It's has 100hp injectors now. That was my next question was to if yours was still vp or the real pump.
I figured if I bumped up to a good 150 possibly 200 and ran some sort of a 480, that might possibly get me to my 500hp goal some day.

On a side not I see where my first question was jacked so I see why I got the necessary treatment as a tard.
 
I made 474 (close to 500) on my 62 as a single with an SOVP and 90 HP injectors right before the p-pump swap. I was running an Edge Juice and Smarty at the time.

I bet you could get there with and S480 without changing injectors just yet. Should be really clean and streetable too! Air before fuel!!!!
 
In the trim it's in now minus cam, and FASS it did 450/972 when Jory owned it. Now it has hot unlock, FASS, and cam.
 
Oh I forgot you have Jory's old truck.

My turbo is a 62/71-14, I believe you have the 62/65-12 Is that correct? The differences in exhaust side could be a huge factor in what it can do.

T$, what is and LI 78???
 
62-65/14... The only thing I have changed since I bought it from Jory is hot unlock.
