CAM Real Deal

I just talked to my buddy and he said that before his cam he was making 60psi. Now he's only making 50psi.

I made some adjustments to the smarty and did some testing. My max boost is now 44psi. I'm lighting at 1,800rpms and it pulls hard up to 3,700rpm. We'll see what she's made of at Buda this weekend.

I may be wrong about this but here goes. Yes boost is a measure of restriction of airflow between what the turbo is trying to push through the head. with the extra duration of the valves you get more drive pressure to push that turbo. Given this y wouldnt the boost go up? will the cam alter the intake valves so they move more air through them? I thought the head was the culprit for the most restriction. Please feel free to correct me so I can better understand if I got it wrong.
