The previous owner of these 7x14s ran them against an SDX equivalent 7x12 with lift and stroke, and he said they pulled way harder but the 7x12s were cleaner so he stuck with those.

My egts were dropping way below 1100 degrees at WOT with the 6x12s, so I just figured I could benefit from an injector that fueled more.

That's nice to hear that Dave took care of your converter considering I run the same one.

Good luck though, and I hope you reach your goal.

If you really want to go back to a D70, I am sure you can find someone that would swap you for your D80 pretty easily.
 
i have the dana 70 out of my truck that i'd sell. its in MA though on cape cod. PM me if your interested. its an open diff w/ 4.10s
