are you revving it up in your video? if that is just you revving it, then the odd idle you have sounds like its the way your IP runs.. i dont think theres anything wrong with it...

The miss started after this video was taken. The surge will fall so low that it will almost die. When it is cool in the morning there is no miss no surge runs great. As soon as I drive down the road about 400 yards it starts missing. Thats why everyone thought ecm when vp didnt take care of it. It seems like as soon as the block starts to warm up it starts surging and missing.
Truck ran fine all day Friday and when I went to south tx. it ran fine going down, coming back it started surging the same way the old ecm did. It's like it fixed it for a day and then it goes right back to the same old. When we put it on by pass box it ran perfect eng. at normal temp no surge no miss no nothing. Took by pass box off and right back to missing and surge, so what gives, wiring harness? The rump rump rump you hear no video is not me its the eng.
There is another man on hear name kc04 has the same exact same problem. He should have just installed his ecm. I hope it fixes his. Maybe he will chime in.
The only thing that has not been replaced is the mapp and ait sensors. The cam sensor has been replaced.
Thanks for your help
Joe

Head gasket?

Coolant system pressurizing and coolant leaking into the cylinders?

just a thought on what could be causing your miss...

IAT would be my guess.

Get a real scan tool that allows you to monitor sensors in real time.

Well it sounds like a f**ked up lope. Trucks runs fine and doesnt miss goin down the road just at idle. Its like a counterfit lope. I guess if i wanted to put a smoke switch and telleverybody i had a hotrod pump it would be ok. But this is fixin to get my truck sold. Im about fed up with it and nobdy seems to know what it is.

What about the shims on your injectors? are they new or did you re-use the old ones? also are all injector lines tight?

New shims, lines are tight. As far as apps go I have one came from Dodge and one came from Timbo, both run the same no change.

Unplug the air intake temp sender and the coolant temp sender and see how it idles. Yes it will throw some codes, but it may answer your question. Start with the coolant temp.

When the truck is cold or been sitting for a while its smooth as glass. When i start it up in the morning it runs great. But the warmer the truck gets the worst the idle gets. With mods you see in my sig truck wont evn slip stock clutch.; Its used to smoke the chit out of it. Ecm should be in tomorow and i will see what that does. Im having the same problem as jlwelding me and him are thinkin about blowin these b*stards up side by side if we cant figure this out.

So your talking about the sendor next to the thermostat, pull it first then the ait second or both at same time.

Yes that one. Just unplug the temp sendor and start the truck. Then do the same thing with the air temp.

Im gonna try this tomorow when i get off. Should i do it when truck is warm.

Ok, I will change orings again. I pulled the air intake sensor and no change, and pulled the temp sensor and no change. I had plug at vp ohmed the mech. said it was ok, but I am also hearing that dont mean anything. I know when I replaced the ecm the plug was real loose like there is no drag to plug in or remove is this normal? The connection at the vp is real hard to get off and on.
