Change fuel filter code after performance parts

Need some help installed an H&S mini maxx, rail plug, S&B intake, 4" exhaust, AD150 on an 08 duramax. He was still getting the low rp cel so he updated the mini maxx and now it doesn't run as good and is throwing a light to change fuel filter and reducing power. Has anyone had this happen before?

Since he installed a rail plug, I'd do a bottle test and see if the rail is leaking. Seen this many times.

He called H&S and there telling him his cp3 is junk but the truck was bone stock and only turned up once the AD was installed.

Almost guaranteed the rail plug is leaking past. It's either not tight enough or trash is on the mating surface like was on mine when I was having rail issues.
