I'm building a 79 1 ton chevy 12v conv truck and was wondering what everyone is doing with the fuel tanks? Mine has dual tanks, so i didnt know if I should take the time and use the dual tanks or just remove one? thanks

I,d keep them with all your money it shouldn't be a problem filling them.

I'd keep them as well, but you may want to install bigger pick up tubes in the sending unit while you have the truck apart.

:hehe: haha good one dale, You must have me mistaken for someone else, thats why im building a 79 cause the lack of $$$
Yeah, i'd like to keep them both but didnt know how the switching device would work out especially with an aftermarket fuel system.

I think Vovo has bigger vavles on there trucks.I,m off work for awhile When I get back I'll check.Good luck on the swap.

My wife tore out the rearend of her 72 with the cummins in it first the 400th and now the rear end.She don't run it hard only God knows how meny miles was on the rearend.Had 4.10 getting a low milage 3.08 going for fuel milage.
I get 24.8 out of my old ford with the Perkins in it.

Can't wait to see your5 rig fiinished you brother painting it.
My son traded your old truck to a buddy for his 2000 140.000 miles 5sp.
