Chevy Nv4500

I found a nv4500 out of a 3500 chevy for a good price. How do I tell which nv4500 it is? What year did chevy start using the same one as dodge?

Thanks, this one will work then its out of a 95 and he wants 500 for it. Looks like a good deal. I'm ready to get this 5spd swap done.

I am pretty sure '96 was when they went to the bigger front bearing retainer like a Dodge. You will still need to swap the shafts and rear houising to fit in the Dodge.

The one i purchased for my conversion was from a 95. My 94 had the small one.

I have a '95 with the small one, so you might be better off to check for sure.

I am pretty sure it will have the internal slave if it's the big one.
