clunking noise sounds like the rear end. Video

ya mine wasnt the backlash either... but there is alot of slack still in my driveline.. i guess when funds come available, i will order a 1 piece driveshaft and get rid of this carrier bearing.. i dont know where else the slack could be coming from... i noticed a little in the spider gears of the differential..

Most times you just have to let it go...

When you shove 2 and 3 times the torque through a drivetrain it's not going to stay tight all the time. And if you chase it you'll just go crazy.
 
i had the same problem... when i looked at the u joint it looked good but when i took it appart 2 of the caps were cracked and all the bearings were mia
