Well after using the search I've figured out what my codes mean but didn't find any info about an oil leak that started when I started getting these codes.

2006 3500 with 90,000 miles

P2509 powerdown ECM intermitant signal
P0483 cooling fan issues

Crawl under the truck to inspect for damaged wires etc. And notice a new oil leak somewhere in the waterpump area.

So im guessing the fan clutch needs replaced? Or the water pump? If the water pump was bad it would be weeping coolant not oil?

Anyone had this issue before?

Is it crankcase oil, or viscous clutch fan oil?

My bet is viscous clutch fan oil is the leak and the reason for the fan code, not so sure on the ECm code

It appeared to be engine oil (pretty black), but im not sure what fan clutch oil would look like? I found a thread about the 2509 having something to do with weak batteries which is possible, its been starting harder this winter.

Thanks
