apparently theres some wiggle room in there for valve piston clearance. He was saying something like .050 off the head and the valves should still clear ok.
Dunno if the benefits are worth the risk, Im no engine builder.
Im starting to wonder if my turbo is going to be the new bottleneck with this head.. either that or it will be like insta-spool, heh.
Wish Id done a dyno run while it was running so crappy, all I have is the one before I popped the HG.
I think you maybe on to something about low compression and mpg I lost about two mpg with my 96 and trailer after my .20 thicker hg I was blaming other stuff like timing, injectors but I have changed most of that stuff with no improvement
