I currently have a constant pressure VB in my tranny and when I'm towing or driving in town the shifts can get a little rough. Do you think if I had it switched to a high pressure that it would be better when daily driving?

It's my understanding that they are usually kinda the same thing.....the constant pressure is kept high to avoid burning up any clutches. I don't know who's VB you have though. I have the TV cable maxed in my 89, and I just lift to shift. Kind of annoying, but I sleep better at night knowing the trans can handle the HP.

I have a Goerend VB, I've just about decided to leave it alone and not to mess with something that works.

What stall converter do you have? The constant pressure vb's dont like a real tight converter. Stock stall or looser works best with them.
