Okay, on my 06 dodge I have an opies coolant bypass. Recently I bought a blocker plate for the rear freeze plug that had a 1/2" Npt hole in it. So I hooked a 90 into that plate, and ran a hose up and put a tee where my the bypass originally hooked into the head, so they are teed together before going into the valve.

Is this a bad idea? Possibly pressure locking the system or something? The truck doesnt run hot or anything but I have the trans out so it's definitely the best time to just plug the plate on the back of the block if need be. Thanks

I can't imagine it hurting anything. Don't know that it would improve anything either... FWIW.

Ok, I guess I'll leave it how it is then unless anyone has any other input on this?

On a common rail you will be fine. If it was a VP44 or 12 valve, you could get some reverse flow, and loose some flow across the rear part of the head.
