After really getting into it, I had to mod the bracket a little and ditch the thru hole spacers. This is what I ended up with. It doesn't hang down too far and is realatively quiet. I also put metal braiding over the hoses and then covered that with heat shrink. Hopefully I never wear a hole in the hoses. I have lots of mud gather under my truck and I'm affraid a rock will hang in the wrong spot and make a hole.
In the end, the minimum diameter fuel must travel though on the suction side is .400 inches as opposed to the stock .26 inches. The pump runs 16 psi at idle right now and holds 14 at WOT. I still haven't by-passed the stock fuel canister yet and it still has a filter in it. What do you all think, leave the fuel going through it so I still have the fuel heater in the loop or just ditch the whole dayum thing? Maybe leave the canister and just take out the filter? I'm certain the PSI will increase if I ditch the whole thing.
AND....that wiring harness that came with my pump....I could have put the pump in the truck and wired it to the battery on the dump truck across the driveway! LOL I guess better long than short....but Jesus man...I cut over 6 foot off the back end and coiled up almost 4 on the front. Must be a universal harness for a school bus. :hehe:
