Couple Motorhome questions

define often? I found a donaldson muffler out of Edmonton.. 265 bucks (ouch) Chris, it was about this close to being straight piped.

Jeff, thanks so much for the info, as for the lift pump, just had that replaced, about a thousand bucks with labor.

What kind of fuel additve do you recommend?

Is a pyro a waste of time and money? As for the fuel pressure, after the lift pump I am assuming?

Sorry for all the questions,,

Oh, and a couple other questions, cause I am stupid,, LOL... what is the regular interval between oil changes on these bad boys, is it the same as a pickup? And where would you check the oil on the alison? I dont see a dipstick anywheres

Thanks guys

Sorry for all the questions,,

$1000 for a lift pump...aren't those about $250 Jeff?? Of course those truck shops sure hit you RV guys on the labor.

Yep, after the lift pump, just like anything else;)

Chris

Dang... Fuel pump.

I wonder if you could call pureflow, or maybe Rich out at Glacier. Could be something to think about.??
The problem is, the transfer pumps location behind the ECM, provides heat transfer for the ECM. The pump is actually only used in priming in this system. So, it doesn't run constantly. The low pressure side of the CAPS provides all the fuel when it reaches prime.

It would be fun to Hotrod an RV Kevin. How much money do you wanna throw at it.LOL There are all kinds of orifices and valves in that accumulator. I'm positive we could make it accumulate more.LOLHow heavy is that rig? Maybe we should look in to some billet Allison pieces first.

I'll PM my cell # we need to get started on thisLOL. Where is Canada? I could come there.LOL

LOL, better start building the Carbon fiber panels now,, LOL. Yeah of course the fuel pump goes when I am 8 hours from home with no tools, on a weekend that I am there for my sons graduation,, pretty much stuck to the whim of the service shop. I guess I should be greatful that they were able to get it done on such short notice. Seeing as it was my living quarters for the weekend too.

Im sure I am going to like this unit once I get all the little things fixed.
