CR Vs VP head

Green regular cab 4x4. running a single 74 and spray I believe. Normally runs twins though. Had a black stack in it. I believe the guy said that he bought it set up, but all the work had been done by browns.

The CR head does not have the relief cast in for the p-pump for the govenor housing like the 12v and VP head does. You need to cut a hole in the intake plenum and weld in a patch.

You will also need custom lines either way, and since the ends and connector tubes are different between the two as well, it's easiest to wait on the CR head until you do the p-pump. But if you got the coin for a ZZ manifold, then don't worry about it. LOL

IIRC there is a water passage in the back of the CR that is a little smaller than the VP head. I'm not certain that it NEEDS to be enlargened, but might as well make it match the gasket. And I believe you can run any gasket...I run a stock VP gasket in mine.
