CR vs VP pistons

The problem with CR pistons is that they have ports underneth and outside of the bowls making them week under extreme heat and stress. I have a cut away pic somewhere.

This is true but I've talked with a few P-pump guys running cr pistons that actually switched to them.

I have split two 2004.5 pistions in half i think that they are weak compaired to the 03-04

He's had zero issues in 2 years. Larger bowl design lets you get away with more timing.

most likely cannot tell from my pic but this is from my 24v so truck

I may try the 03-04 pistons. Its kinda a budget build that I am planning on doing, so a custom set would probably be out of the question for me. Although, surely someone out there has delt with all 3 types on a p-pump setup and can shed a little more light on this subject....
