L&S is an excellent product, sadly the 53 block is such a POS you will be L&Sing more than once.
I expected ours to continue cracking beyond the L&S fix, lengthwise, until we got to the front of the block.
When it started leaking again, we took of turbo and in the way parts, and it had spidered away from it. Did not expect that. Since we already had the kit, we L&S ed it again.
I found another block, now we are just waiting for it to crack bad enough again to warrant a change, or retire the truck. It has well over 200K on it now, anyway.
I think the kit was $300, for DIYers.
There is no doubt in my mind the L&S works - there is just nothing to work with.
Over time you will beat the cracks...but why bother?
If the trucks a keeper, 12V it!!!!!!!!!!!!:rockwoot:
