Cracked heads?

hey fellas i was wondering if the 6.4s have many problems with the heads cracking. i haven't heard or of any really and haven't seen first hand any of them cracked but i have seen quite a few heads come off 6.0s and be cracked. is this much of an issue in these 6.4s. thanks for all the input

I've heard of a few with cracks in the valve seat area, but nothing like the 6.0

Yes it is an issue with the 6.4's too. I know Mink went through a couple of sets on his truck, and we took these heads off of a truck at the shop with less than 100k miles on them.

Are elite heads simply reworked oem heads or a proprietary casting?

They are reworked stockers.

Almost all 6.0/6.4's have cracked heads. I have about 10 sets ready for scrap that are cracked extremely bad, but they are normally just minor cracks at the seat.
