Cummins billet rods

Who has seen failures of any brand of aftermarket Cummins rod? Feel free to elaborate if so....

I would not recommend a rod that didn't use at least a 1/2" rod bolt for that application.

1/2" rod bolt is not needed if done properly. Use a cheap bolt and go bigger to try and save the cost or use a higher grade bolt and a 7/16" is way more than is needed. We looked long and hard at which size bolt to design into our TTS Rods for the cummins engine and a good quality 7/16" bolt was way more than necessary and save us space and weight. Cost a little more than a 1/2 bolt but we feel the addition cost was out weighted by the saving in space and weight for bigger camshaft designs. With zero failures of the rods or bolts for over 6 years of being run in high (1400+) HP engines it's been the right choice for us. There have been failures of the carrillo standard rod bolts, so if going that route I would recommend stepping up to the better bolts.

Well from my side of the fence, I will simply put I disagree.

Usually the I beam is stronger pound for pound. I'd try to see if anyone is making these out of 300m, the gain over 4340 is worth it.

PM sent for pricing.

We have our rod design in stock as well if you looking for proven 1500 + HP cummins rods. Team Green and others have been running them for over a few seasons without any failures. The design is well proven but we do not get into pricing wars on the internet. If you want something well proven to perform and last let me know and I can quote you on them.

Just sayin.....:evil

Suppose I could have ghetto'd it and used EFI....LOL kidding!

What people should really take notice of is not the Nira that has been there for a few years now, it is the other box beside it... *nx*:evil

I'm Jealous, ours haven't even started being cut yet... Hopefully by the end of February I can have a similar post. Albeit with slightly different looking big end...

I look forward to seeing what it does. Ill just take my moment now because it'll be back to playing catch up soon enough LOL

Don't know who's bolts they are like but they are 1/2" bolts on the Cunningham rods.

They claim to have a shop up the road make bolts specifically for them. Jim has told me several times that ARP is garbage.

I have a set of new carrillo rods sitting here.
I am assuming they have the regular bolts, where
would I go for the upgraded bolts ?
