Cummins Carrillo Rods

I thought that was yours. Its faster than you give it credit for. After messing around a bit that was the first time I ever debated turning the box on or even downshifting next to truck like that. LOL Next time I'm under my charger I won't think, oh its an obs, I don't even need boost. LOL

But, hands down the coolest part was getting a thumbs up when I passed you. Badass man.

Haha Thanks, man you get up early. I talked about you at work after that. It doesn't lose very often, I was surprised. It runs pretty good for an obs. Fast enough to surprise people.

I was on my way back to summit county, I made it up 3 times this week. Talk about perfect timing though, I left from Loveland.

My buddy was trying to make fun of you a bit a first and I was yelling at him that he didn't get it, OBS trucks aren't supposed to be that fast.(He doesn't know since hes not a performance guy at all). Then as soon as you gave us a thumbs up he stops and says "Ok, he's cool". LOL

Haha yea, it's just fun to try once in a while. Anything that beats that thing is respectable. A 450hp OBS is good enough for me. The fast one pretty much just stays at the track.

Eh, mines a joke anymore. I had big plans when we balanced the motor and did all of that stuff but the local guys started to take all the fun out of it. There are some great guys around here, but there are far too many douchebags running around. Hell the truck isn't even any fun to drive when it's turned up because it smokes so damn bad with that TNT/R tuning. You plan on making the race in AZ? I think we've got quite the convoy coming down from CO.

Which route are you taking? If your coming through monticello ill join the convoy!

I'm trying to go. I've gotta finish the cage and the rest if the engine work first. Hopefully we can make it though.

If only i saw this before i just bought 2 more ar's....may have to see what i can scrape up

So are these the cheaper of the Carrillo rods? Have the cheaper rod bolts?

Correct, they have the H11 rod bolts.
I've talked with Richard @ Carrillo several times about this, and although they offer their rods with the ARP 625 rod bolt upgrade, he informed me that they have never sold a set of Cummins rods with the ARP's in them, and that the additional wait time was +3 weeks for the upgrade.
Just a tid bit of info.

GLWS.

When I ordered them I was told they are the better rod bolts. Apparently the person I talked to didn't know, Erik said Carrillo has never sold any with the ARP bolts. Does that mean they have 3 rod bolt options then? I was under the impression that the Carrillo fasteners were the better ones, and the WMC tool steel ones were the regular bolts. They have an arp option too? These are the rods listed on everyones website for $2642. If that helps.
