I was wanting to see if any of you guys had any input on http://www.dallasturbo.com Their site is titled Majestic turbo but the website is Dallas Turbo, I dont know which they go by for sure. I need a turbo rebuilt and came across this website and wanted to know if any of yall have had any deelings with these people or know of a really good shop to rebuild my Silver 62.

just got my s475 from them good price and has a warranty.
why not have II rebuild the silver62?

Holler at em man, see what they say. It's a Borg Warner S300 and they say they deal directly with the manufacturers.

I have a question, how badly wrecked can they rebuild? I was thinking about this last night. My SB, has no internals left, but the housing looks ok to my untrained eye... I dont want to just send it off for the heck of it, as that would be probably very close to 100 bucks shipping...

Thanks

kevin

I've never personally dealt with them, but have heard good things about them

I have talked with them on the phone a couple times and they have been very helpful, but I don't have any first hand experience with them. I have heard from others that have had good experiences with their work.

Just picked up one of these from them this last week... with warranty. The guy I spoke with was friendly and did exactly what he said he was going to do.

the owner's name is Mike, he's a good guy and stands behind his product.

I'm sure they could rebuild just about anything, but whether it would be worth rebuilding or not would be the question. Maybe call them and see what they have to say?

BTW - $100 for shipping seems way high. I would say you should be able to get it done for less than $50 unless you are talking about round trip.

If you are talking about the Majestic Turbo in Waco then YES they are very good people and very reasonable...You need to talk to John, he is the owner and main builder and knows his **** about what he is talking about and will tell u up front on the best thing to do wether its gunna get him the business or not....His full rebuilds start a like $330 and i guess go up depending on what all he has to do...Just call and ask for John and he will tell you what he can do and for what price.....

Good Luck

Do you have a number for Majestic turbo in Waco? Thats only like an hour and a half from College Station.

Thanks for all the input guys, just trying to see what all my options are, just keepum rolling

oh, and as a reply to how bad the turbo is right now, i honestly don't know much about the internals, from the 3 mechanics ive spoke with they all seem to think i over spun the bearings in it. dont really know what else might be damaged. The turbo was leaking some oil, making some while smoke burn out the tail pipe, and after about 20 lbs of boost it had a very odd noise we've only been able to describe as sounds like an orcha whale....nothing ever got hot though, egt's were watched very close.

I think it was an oil feed issue, probably scorched some bearings. If we can get that thing rebuilt in waco, that'd be awesome. I doubt it's anything too serious since it still ran fine, it just has some in/out play and whines really bad.

I live about an hour south of them in Killeen. When I get back I'm going to go over there and see what they're all about. Good to hear they have a good reputation. I've looked at their site before and wondered about them and if they were big into diesels. Then I saw their add in the back of diesel power.

I have heard good things about majestic in waco. I haven't heard of the one in dallas. Are they owned by the same person?

I dont know fore sure about being owned by the same company, but the way this is lookin, i might be waking up in the mornin and heading to waco...
