The turbo was leaking some oil, making some while smoke burn out the tail pipe, and after about 20 lbs of boost it had a very odd noise we've only been able to describe as sounds like an orcha whale....
well guys, just thought id give yall an update...my turbo had a bad whining noise, in and out shaft play, and was leaking some oil. I hated to give Industrial how much they wanted for a rebuild, so i gave majestic turbo in waco a shot. I took it to them, and couldn't have recieved better service from John. He had my turbo overnight but was ready the next morning only becuase we lacked a few parts. I got out a good bit cheaper than II would have ever allowed, so just an FYI great people and seem to do great work...turbo looks and runs better than ever.
If this is the same Majestic Turbo that guys were using back in the late 90's and early 00's I would be careful. For those of you who don't know the stories go to some of the older sites and do some research. Many $$ were spent and many turbos were exploded. As for warranty well...... Lets just say the owners found out how much it hurts when you are your own warranty station.
Yeah, they can build turbos
Yeah, I remember that. I don't think they ever had an HX40 that would survive through day 1 before the shaft snapped.
