Dallas Turbo? Majestic Turbo?

The turbo was leaking some oil, making some while smoke burn out the tail pipe, and after about 20 lbs of boost it had a very odd noise we've only been able to describe as sounds like an orcha whale....

But we all liked flipper!

I have talked to them numerous times at waco. I have a couple of turbos sitting here that a broke as well. But i am giving the original manufacture a chance to fix them. If that doesnt go as planned i am headed up to waco my self.

At one time they were owned by the same company but now they are completly different owners.

If this is the same Majestic Turbo that guys were using back in the late 90's and early 00's I would be careful. For those of you who don't know the stories go to some of the older sites and do some research. Many $$ were spent and many turbos were exploded. As for warranty well...... Lets just say the owners found out how much it hurts when you are your own warranty station.

3 years ago I sent a set of twins down there and they didn't last very long after they worked on them.... Maybe have been a freak deal though....

well guys, just thought id give yall an update...my turbo had a bad whining noise, in and out shaft play, and was leaking some oil. I hated to give Industrial how much they wanted for a rebuild, so i gave majestic turbo in waco a shot. I took it to them, and couldn't have recieved better service from John. He had my turbo overnight but was ready the next morning only becuase we lacked a few parts. I got out a good bit cheaper than II would have ever allowed, so just an FYI great people and seem to do great work...turbo looks and runs better than ever.

Yeah, I remember that. I don't think they ever had an HX40 that would survive through day 1 before the shaft snapped.

there much of a difference? how do you like it the more you drive it blake?

...I LOVE this new turbo...even with my stock injectors, I dont have a problem spooln it..even opened the wastegate some cause we saw 52lbs...trucks runnin great, i think the part i love the most is use to my truck had NO BALLS on highway speeds when i would floor it but now !! this thing has a HUGE difference over stock..

dang, that really is gonna make me want one when i get my tranny and some tuning!

Well i may be taking a couple turbos over to john myself next week. Ill let yall now what happens with it all.

Yea it wasn't so much that the turbos didn't last more than the shipping time to get them but that they wouldn't warranty them......

Well..i dont know, all i know is john REALLY seemed to know what he was talking about and when I walked out of there was reassured that there was a full warrenty on my turbo if there was any problem with install or anything, john wanted a call...the turbos your speaking of weren't the pieces of carnage on his wall from where someone stuck a screwdriver in the turbo to slow it down? or put some outrageous upgrades to too small of a turbo? Maybe we aren't speaking of the same guy, because I feel very safe that if anything were to ever go wrong and it be his default(which I dont think will) he would take care of it.

Guys i was at Majestic turbo today and was very very impressed. John is a very very smart guy. From what i hear we will be seeing some very very impressive products come out of his shop in the near future. On the other hand he is still working on getting a production 62, 64, 66 mm charger on the market there are a couple people out there running some of his chargers right now and they are makeing good power. he as a couple of 66mm chargers that are a t4 flange that looked really really nice. Even though i have moved on to bigger and better turbos i am still going to be dealing with john on some of his 62 and 64mm chargers for the mid range HP customers.

ha yeah...you go to talk to john, and you'll be there for a LONG time...the guy ikes to talk but he's pretty cool to talk to and knows what hes talkin about...when you went to the shop did he show you some of the carnage he's got on the shelf ?:ft: I think that was probably my favorite part lol
