Dana 60 or Dana 70 for front axle ?

Eric, nice to see you using FORD parts. I wouldn't even consider running those stock inners or outer shaft. Back in the mud truck days I have broke quite a few of those axle shafts. Come to think about it the 79 Ford Cummins broke a front outer at a pull 2 years ago with an auto.

The new fords have what they call a super 60 on them, which I believe is a 70 R/P, this could get you past the rules maybe if that is what you are going for? With a 70 All you would be getting is a bigger diameter ring gear without an increase in pinion size. The 80 is were the pinion diam increases.

Wolf, open driveline rule

Adam, I'm trying to wash all the Ford off it, gonna paint it Chevy orange to try and cover up the fact it was out of a Ford.

Eric consider a dana110 you can get 4.88 and lower for them

Proformance Pro's out of Michigan (Ranky Kleikamp) offers a 5.29 ratio for F106 rockwells......check them out, would be perfect for a pulling truck, run 5.38's in the dana 60 and get a little more pull from the front than the rear.....
