Dana 80 gear question

I ran 3.55s for a while and it sucked for towing. RPMs were way too low, more or less lugging the motor.

4.10s now and 2000-2100 rpm is right around 70mph.

we use my brothers truck to tow my truck around and sled pull with it also. It was the 70 with 3.55 gears. When he grenaded the 70 and swapped in a dually 80 that was 4.10 geared. the towing performance increased substantially. Lower egts, quicker spooling and less smoked alot less. Now without a trailer the motor seems to fall lat alot more. It will however bust the back tires loose when shifting into 4th on dry pavement. This is with a 5 speed so allitle different.
