Looks yes but we'll see what the flow bench reports, then we'll see if it makes the grade.....:evil

In the second pic are you showing how much you took off of the intake side or did you mill something on the front also

Yes some milling was done there too.... I shed some weight on a lot of areas on this head... Some areas I don't need for the racer, so I milled them clean off the head.:evil Had a nice pile of iron millings when I stopped. Now I see some other areas I can take care of with my Bridgeport.:evil :evil :evil

Did you know that if you spent as much time in the shop as you do here, it would be done by now. :poke:

I get to spend my time here- during the week while at my job.:shake: Come the evenings I'm in my garage, come weekends I'm in my shop. :shake: LOL This race project is a branch out of my Mopar Muscle car hobby. I have to divide my time up to work on all my projects. If I didn't have to earn a living I would defineatly be further along with all my projects-( I have several old Mopars plus the duallie and now this racer).... If I had a money backer I would get into the Restification business, for this being a hobby I have ALOT of equipment, that would support a business like that.

Again this project is one of my many hobbies that I love....:rockwoot:  :rockwoot:

LOL LOL LOL believe me I am a busy dude.:evil

I gotta bring this head back to my shop for another session on my Bridgeport.......:evil :evil

I wanna come to the shop there Jeff, and check out all the machinery you got goin' on there!

So after talking with a few prospective sponsors, I am on the fence about painting this rig all black....:bang

I was told "to be more marketable a flashy color would work best than black...."*bdh*
:what: apparently marketing peeps like something that jumps out at them, and black is not one of the colors that does this....:bang Although I feel it would look TOTALLY KILLER in the all black motif. I have been beating myself up on if I had to paint it a color- what would it be........ My duallie is a Black Sport, my Vipertruck is also Black..... Damn if I don't love the looks of these Dodges in Black*bdh*

The only other color I can come up with that I would be satisfied with, and it would hold a special meaning to my heart would be in honor of my dad, who passed away some years back. He was as much a gearhead at my age as I am. His car (59 Impala) was a Hot Rod magazine cover car back in his young days. He also used to street race it alot. It was a worked over 389 tri power, and yes he kicked many rods in that combo-( 389's were prone to this ) Well my dads nick name was Red, for his red hair. And in dedicated honor of my dad- this would be my choice for my racer......

Opinions wanted- do I stick to the evil colors of black like my other Dodge rigs- or would a Hot Rod Red color be a better desision????:poke:

:pop:

Red would be a very NOTICABLE color. And Dodge/Mopar has had some very nice Red colors. You could still keep your black accents.....to give the truck a more "sporty" look to it. Say maybe a sporty lookin' race stripe down the side of it, or maybe even black viper stripes running nose to tail? It's just a thought to help make up your mind buddy.

When I go to the track, I like seeing the flashy cars that have a ton of money into how they look, but what I like the best is a bad ass, strictly business, primer grey or black :)

you know SPI does a wicked Viper red Jeff. You could go with flat black and maybe red racing stripes?

I think you need to go bright red with a thick clear so it looks like you can reach down into the paint if that makes any sense.
