You can see how my LLY rods have a 45 is in the rod itself vs being in the bearing area of the Cummins rod shown in the backround.

My guess is 118.5 mph maybe the limit for the stock LLY Piston/Rods.

LOL It looks like another custom Opie design. Albeit unintentional... ;)

Opie what kind of rods are you going to run in the new engine???

I bet Opie makes a new set out'a Iron wood. lol He'll probably shave the cylinders on one edge for 'wood' clearance. lol

The new motor is an all stock LLY. I plan on lowering the rear end gear ratio, turning the tune rail pressure down and limiting the rpms. My stock 3:73 rearend is a POS and it occasionally unlocked going down the track at full power. With twin everything it is very easy to go too far. The truck does not need to run any faster than 11.5 and it has to remain a dailey driver. If things go well next year I will be running two trucks at each race. If I loose this motor I will spend the cash and just put a ISB in it.

What about an ISX?

really? im sure you know this, being a ISX is 15L engine, would cleary be into the front seat of a pickup truck..........but it would be something to see! 1k of torque right off idle anyone?

I say weld up the sides and re-install them.

Cheap low compression engine:rockwoot:

Ya got me. Thinking 500+ HP it's the first thing that comes to mind.

Didn't window the block but scared a couple cylinders.

Lots of projects happening right now. I have a 05 Dmax dailey driver that I want to put a Cummins/47RE in or sell. Just gotta make up my mind I guess.
