sounds like you have a boost leak. you should see more boost than that. wide open and at cruise. if the wastegate is indeed closed off something is not right.aer you getting a lot of smoke?
I'm thinking of trading down back to a HX35.
Yes, I get smoke, mostly cause it seems to take forever to spool. It's nothing like my HX35 was. The smoke clears up when it lights, but idono, I'm pretty discouraged about the whole thing. It emptied my pocketbook on the way down here getting bad mileage. I'm wondering if it just needs more fuel, I'm tempted to put the injectors in, but I'm also tempted to go right back to stock and be done with it. Almost feels like it dumps fuel, raises EGT's, and then when it finally lights it's too late and the EGT's just keep goin'
Maybe I'll take some video's of it tomorrow. I'll try to find a place to host them. You guys want a 0 to 55mph run? 60mph roll, anything else? I'll just film the gauges.

Intercooler could be cracked, mine was. Check the line going to the AFC housing,, make sure that isnt cracked. Check all boots and connections. Make yourself a boost leak checked. Go to home depot and get a 4" rubbercoupling and a 3" PVC cap. Drill a hole in it and add a male air hose fitting. Clamp that on your turbo air inlet and add about 25-30psi of shop air and listen for leaks. You can also take some soapy water and spray everything.
Good Luck
My intercooler is swiss cheesed. I am currently removing it, but on the back side I can feel and head the air hissing out of multiple spots. So...WTB Stock Intercooler.
Think you can JB Weld these if the holes are easy to get to?

Update: I sold the 62 turbo a little while ago, I found out when I measured the wheels that it was actually a 62/71/14. I replaced the setup with a HX35/HT3B setup and it works much better, especially after fixing the slipped timing and intercooler.
Added HX35/HT3B, Smokem 5x.014 EH's.
