I wish i had the coin for a stock stall and a VB from Dave...I towed my truck this weekend with my old man's truck and it did ok, but it sucks taking off from a stop...stock converter takes way too long to lock up.

The stall is what sucks so bad about the stock ones. A good tight converter makes it like a different truck. Depending on what all your dad has done to his truck as far as power mods, one of daves single discs and a valve body would be great for towing on a truck with mild mods.

how would that tight one work on a relatively stock truck w/ not many mods currently, yet in the near future...including a vb, once purchased w/ the tc...

tight one worked great on a sledpuller 66.

Tight one and intermediate one have been sold.

Stock stall is left, brand new, never installed triple.
Be good on an intermdediate set of twins, or a larger single.
I had it and planned on using it for sled pulling

Yes, have the stock stall one left. Brand new never installed.
