DPF delete milage increase?

Anywhere from 2-7mpg better than stock depending on driving habits with mine.

What does DPF and EGR stand for? I have an 08 and would like better fuel mileage and I read this thread.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation - On top of the motor

DPF = Diesel Particulate Filter - In the exhaust system

Been reading a bunch about deletes on here. I'm wondering what are the performance and sound differences between doing a 4" downpipe/dpf delete pipe vs a full 5" straight pipe?

Doing some testing on a customer's 6.7 mega cab tonight. Only did 2.5 hours of hwy driving and its really flat down here. Had about a 10mph head wind one way, and of course the same tail wind the other way. 23.15 mpg's. That's without a trailer of course. Fully deleted with efi & a 366.. I did have about 750 lbs of top soil in the bed.. and he has 3.42 gears..

I've seen as high as 25 and as low as 20 on different trucks with diff setups..

Go full 5" with a muffler or FTE resonator. These things need to get rid of the air. Since they move more than the 5.9
