Dragon Flow pumps

Dude, take the advice being offered here. If you don't NEED a 13mm pump for a dedicated drag truck or puller, and you're going to use the truck to drive on the street, don't get a 13mm pump. Stay with a stout 12mm. You'll be glad you did.

I plan on goin with a 12mm pump after what you guys have been telling me, just tring to gather all the info I can.
Does harts have a website?
Thanks Jake

Correct, The only gov. they use is the AG. gov....and you don't want that for the street.

Ag= constant speed gov.(constant load for hours, farm tractors) automotive=variable speed gov.(in and out of throttle)pickups

if you want a very nice and street friendly 12mm pump talk to CDS...they built the pump that is on my truck and its top notch. even with the gutted afc i can drive it smoke free if i control my foot. you will not be disappointed.

mine is for sled pulling also...but its still real friendly...almost sleeper like cuz it can be very mild until i crack open the loud pedal and it comes to life.

my whole pump was set-up by them and its smooth from idle to 5k, none of the lope etc that some pumps get. im sure theres lots of other good companies out there, but ill be sure to go with CDS again.

Running a 13mm CDS pump on the street and have no problems. Throttle is a bit touchy. Have towed/raced (on I-35)/dynoed with it so far. Not pulled sled yet though. Very happy with CDS pump.

that sounds like what I would want it to be like. I am thinking about using a valet switch so when im not driving it i can turn the power down. Will a valet switch work with a gutted AFC.

I am open to more ideas if theres any out there.

Nope.....your out of luck there unless you put a working AFC on it.

Yea the valet switch limits boost to the AFC which in turn limits fuel. say you set your AFC up to give full fuel at 35psi, well when you turn the valet switch on, it might only let 20psi get to the AFC and thus limits your fueling and cutting the power the truck will have.

with a gutted AFC, you have full fuel all the time, all you gotta do is put the hammer down

Actually TJ, a valet lets no boost through to the AFC...the only fuel you get come with RPM...kinda like a VP44 powered truck, really anemic until you get the RPM up:hehe: :hehe:

CDS all the way...I've never ran a Dragon, but I'd be very surprised if it ran/drove as nice as my CDS 12mm. I have talked to quite a few people with them though;)
