driveshaft lengths

Is everyone who is doing these conversions on these obs fords having to have their drive shafts cut? Somewhere I remember seeing a conversion where the guy was able to reuse his shafts without cutting them. :bang

not sure, but on my brothers 95 conversion we cut out about 3" I think. On my 99 we cut 3" out of the back also, the front shaft was long enough.

So how much will the stock front driveshaft extend safely?

Had to cut roughly 3'' off mine too. I don't know what the what the stocker would extend to safely. Don't chance it man. You put all that work into it you dont want nothing to go wrong

well I had to have my drive shaft cut down 5" today. hopefully get it put in tomarrow. aiming for sunday to start the truck.
