Driveshaft Loops

You guys are gonna dig our new driveline shield/restraint kits we're fabbing - fully adjustable to fit darn near anything with add-on upgrades like multiple midshaft loops & T-case front output shields for tech'ing in higher classes.

Do good, and have them at a reasonable price, your gonna have more work than you can cover. I'm very interested to see what you've got. I can't count the # of people that have asked me to build these, but I simply don't have the time. You my friend will probably be a very busy man.

and my latest on my super street ford.

forgive my ignorance here but does this truck not have rear suspension?

Cause I don't see any and I'm pretty sure that vertical plate (bolted to the frame?) at the top ain't gonna let the axle thingy go up and down and up and down to much......

Nice fab work btw. :rockwoot:

Don't think Rubberduck needs a functional suspension in the rear for the class he pulls.

No sir, no rear suspension. I built a Super Street solid chassis. The vertical plate is actually a pinion snubber that I tied my driveshaft loops into.

No doubt! :banghead:

Guys have been asking us for years to build their driveline shields, but the large number of applications + dynamic nature of the orgs' tech rules = custom kit for each customer, which as you know means a PITA job under each truck.

By standardizing & unifying what's required, the kits will be easy to upgrade and/or swap onto another truck - the components are basically adjustable in 3 axes.

Rubber Duck...
I am going to guess that the blue set of loops were on a good friend of mines truck who moved down your way,Chris aka-Texican.

He has been busting my tail to come down and visit, maybe I should,,LOL.

Sweet Looking loops......Andy

Andy, those are on Chris Boerm's truck. Only other name I know him by is tURbodiezel. And thank you sir.

Just call him "Texican't" and ask him for his green card and it will not take long and my phone will ring...LOL.

i agree! id like to have some of those you all didnt a really good job on them!

here is how I did mine, would like to thank RubberDuck for the photos he posted. Used his design and made a few changes for me not having a fully blocked rear.

The upsidedown bolts are snug allowing the loops to move as the truck moves up and down.

those look good dave. im gonna have to check them out a little closer next time i see you.

Forgot I took pic's of the front already :bang

The bolts on my front loops are tight, this valve spring works like the snug bolts in the rear. compresses as the front of the truck moves

 Very, very well done my friend! My only suggestion would be to maybe take a couple of pieces of bed mat and sandwich it between the frame and the "snug" mount. That would probably give it pleanty of play.

Love the valve spring idea!!! Now that's thinking outside the box. I'm very impressed and your variations will help others as well as myself with different ways to do this. Bravo! And I'm very glad I could help.

I think the mods should make this thread a sticky as well in the Sled Pulling section.

how much running clearance is needed between the yoke and pipe id? Ive got some 6" pipe and the rear yoke is 4-5/8 od, just thinking about the tranny mount flexing under touque when pulling?

All the pipe I use is 6 5/8" od. So just over 6" on the id. You don't need much clearance because it's not floppin around.
