DT360 into 1991 F350

How's your truck doing coastal?

Putting an he351 on right now....hopefully that wakes it up. I've moving in 5 weeks so all my projects are sort of on hold. Once I move I'd like to tear it down and build the motor properly. Otherwise it's slow and steady for the truck...literally slow...but super reliable. lol

And here we go. Been knocking it out. Going to wrap up the last 2 mounts tonight then it's time for a reseal.

1410 10.25 yoke.

Scored this whole driveshaft (on the left) at the local junkyard for $150. It's off a 2000ish Chevy 3500 cab and chassis......it literally bolted in! Hahaha

Engine is out, time for a refresh welded some stuff on the frame and made the track bar bracket/frame brace. I didn't have enough solid stock to make it all the way across, and the C channel would hit the axle, so I came up with this.....

Unfortunately when I went to install the transmission Saturday the flywheel was too thick to bolt it up. Got a hold of Carson and he said it's been about 2 years since they did a ZF 5, somewhere they got some dimensions mixed up. He's going to take the flywheel and make it right. I'll keep you guys posted.

Ok, all was straightened out by Carson. Back together and in the truck. Been busy haven't had time to update.

Had a friend remake the engine ID decal

I guess it's a good thing I didn't slam it in as the firewall was a mess. Whoever installed the downpipe cut too deep and it tore apart. Cleaned it up and welded it together as best as I could. Was hard scraping all the seam sealer out.

Got a little carried away checking the clutch fork movement. Luckily a friend works at a welding shop and fixed it up.

Attempted to upload some videos but it just freezes tapatalk... weird.

you will find this out shortly, but the 90 degree boot at the turbo will hate life if you try to make any boost with it..
A cast 90 there will save you a lot of headaches.

heat and pressure will kill it, then blow it apart.
usually while you are towing...
