does anyone know where i can get what i need to add duals on my truck for sled pulling? i dont want to buy a 1 ton axle to put under it. All i need is some type of conversion kit and spacers, correct?

Ryan how about some 2.5 inch spacers and dually wheels. That will getcha. I thought you need to get a hook on regular tires before you try the duals? hahahaha

screw it. seems quite a few are adding duals and changing stuff so i figured i would try to keep up with the jones. i am excited to get a good hook in which hopefully will be saturday now that our pull last weekend got cancelled due to the rain.

I was told the inside dually wheel won't clear the springs? If that is the case, maybe you can put a small spacer on the inside of the inside wheels...

a dualy rear is actaly narrower by i do beleave 4 in. so u shouldnt hit your leaf springs

the dually wheels will mostlikely hit, the rim width doesn't matter, the back space is what affects clearance on the leaf springs 4.5"-5" v's 6-7"

On Dodges you just put a 2" spacer on the axle then bolt the wheels to the spacers. That's how several guys are doing it in central KY and that's how I plan on doing it next year. ;)

i have a dana 80 off a single wheel truck. took some 17" 3rd gen dually wheels and put 33x12.5 sts on them and there is about 1" between the inside tire and the leaf spring. i also used a 2.5" spacer between the tires. however, i did have to do some custom trimming on the plastic inner fender.

I have seen some hub-centric spacers that bolt to existing axle. Seems like they were 200-300 bucks.

I just did it 2 weeks ago i have a srw 80 i removed all of the brake componets next i put the wheel on then bolted up a arrowcraft 2.5 spacer then i had to use a older ford dually wheel mid 90s ford to clear the center of the spacer or you can stick the dodge dually wheel on a lathe and turn it to 4.880 on the center to clear the spacer i have plenty of room from the spring but like mentioned above i did have to trim the plastic hope this helps guys by the way i used 285/75/16 tires

I forgot about that part. i had to do the same

so i need a 2" spacer on the axle with longer studs then a 2.5" spacer between the wheels so i can run a 33 12.50 correct?

are you a 3rd gen or 2nd? a third gen truck shoud have no problem clearing the disc brakes. a 2ng gen would need a spacer between the inside wheel and drum unless you gut the brakes

well actually im probably late for this but i ordered a set of front and rear spacers for my '03 from arrow craft and if your using stock dodge dually wheels you will need to do nothing except buy these and bolt up. You dont have to change studs or anything. Just give arrow craft a call they are very helpful and the front and rear were about 700 dollars all together. oh yeah they are steel instead of alluminum. great for pulling

If your pulling you dont need to spend the money for the front spacers.

Ya you need a 2'' spacer on the axle. The rim will not clear the caliper I tried on mine and it didnt fit. I pm'd ya

You may or may not need longer studs. You need to get all the components and get your wheels and tires mounted up and then do some test fitting. If you need studs then your local parts store should have them.
