I in middle of reassembly my truck after a auto rebuild and cam swap along injectors and so on.

But now i come to mouting oil lines to the auto.
Wonder which port is in and out on a 47RH, there 1 in front of the auto and 1 in the back. Wonder because i wanna route the oil in right cooler first.

I have also a temp sender in one of those 2 pipes which is connected to the trans hot light in the cab, on which should that be mounted, on the oil in or out of the box???

Please thankful for answer cause i have to get it mounted before weekend.

Thanks

IIRC, the forward port on the 47rh is the hot outlet line and the rear port is the return into the transmission line that comes back from the coolers.

The factory temp sender went into the front line, which is the hot line.

Ok thanks alot. Exactly what i needed to know=)

The factory setup: hot fluid out of the front port, runs over the heat exchanger on the passenger side of the block below the turbo, then it runs back near the front of the tranny and then goes forward to the cooler mounted in front of the radiator. From there fluid runs back and dumps into the rear of the transmission.
